Dr Khurram Sadiq
Two decades of clinical practice inform every assessment. Dr Khurram Sadiq combines diagnostic rigor with deep understanding of how neurodevelopment shapes individual experience.
Dr Khurram Sadiq trained in psychiatry across the United Kingdom's leading teaching hospitals, developing expertise in Neurodevelopmental conditions during a time when ADHD and autism in adults remained largely unrecognized. His clinical work spans two decades of rigorous assessment, diagnostic refinement, and research into how neurodevelopmental presentations evolve across the lifespan.
He has led the development of assessment protocols that balance diagnostic accuracy with genuine understanding of the individual. Rather than applying a template to each patient, he examines the unique constellation of strengths, challenges, and life experiences that shape how Neurodevelopment manifests. This approach has informed thousands of assessments and shaped the clinical philosophy that underpins Mentesserena.
Beyond the clinic, Dr Sadiq has become a recognized voice in Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry. His work appears in peer-reviewed journals, and he has presented at international psychiatric conferences where he challenges conventional thinking about diagnosis and treatment. He has spoken on major platforms including TEDx, contributed to BBC1, Sky and The Guardian's coverage of neurodiversity, and appeared on various podcasts, such as WTF is AuDHD and ADHD Chatter (click here for the most recent podcast), discussing the lived experience of neurodivergent individuals.
Dr Sadiq has also contributed to discussions at international institutions including the United Nations in Vienna and UNESCO, where he has spoken on neurodevelopmental conditions, mental health inequality, and the impact of undiagnosed neurodivergence at a global level. His contributions have focused on improving understanding of ADHD and autism across healthcare, education, and employment, and on the need for inclusive, evidence-informed approaches within international frameworks.
His leadership extends to education and advocacy. He mentors clinicians seeking to develop expertise in neurodevelopmental assessment and works with organisations to build neurodiversity-affirming cultures. He believes that true expertise lies not in labelling people, but in helping them understand themselves more clearly.
Dr Sadiq founded Mentesserena to translate his clinical experience into a service that is both scientifically rigorous and genuinely human. He remains involved in every assessment, ensuring that the quality of care reflects his commitment to seeing the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
